Education Hub

Each year school pupils from the Newport area are invited to demonstrate their creative skills to the many thousands of visitors to Newport Show.

It’s an opportunity they always embrace and it brings great pleasure to the students, their families and showgoers in general. Encouraging participation this way brings more young people than might otherwise be possible into contact with the show and the farming community.

Year-round learning

In addition to the activities around the show itself, the Society continues to support learning through the entire year, making the Lodge at the Chetwynd Deer Park available to schools and other groups free of charge.

The Lodge, with its excellent, modern facilities and learning tools, provides a great base for getting out and about in the park itself and finding out about the extensive flora and fauna to be found there.

Newport and District Agricultural Society, would like to congratulate all the surrounding primary schools for attending the photography workshops earlier this year.

Any schools wishing to take part in next year’s activities you are welcome to contact the Show office for more information.
